Sean Castady’s experience working alongside reputable brands and award-winning boutique hotels complements Aparium Hotel Group’s “translocal” philosophy—in which hotels are both a destination sought out by travelers and a favorite place for locals. Castady followed his passion for luxury boutique properties when he joined Aparium as General Manager of The Charmant Hotel. “Smaller, independent lifestyle properties allow guests to have a truly special and tailored experience,” Castady says. “Our associates enjoy speaking to the historically rich story surrounding The Charmant Hotel, which provides a unique experience for our guests.”
Castady directs and oversees all daily operations of the 67-room boutique hotel, taking a hands-on approach to both customer service and hotel operations. “I like to be at the front desk, doing check-ins, and helping bus tables at the restaurant. I prefer to be on the front lines seeing what’s going on, and The Charmant Hotel provides the atmosphere to do so.”
Castady joined Aparium from Joie De Vivre Hospitality, where he spent five years, most recently as Assistant General Manager of the Pacific Edge Hotel in Laguna Beach, California. In that role, he oversaw the hotel’s operational and financial performance. Originally from St. Joseph, Michigan, Castady began his hospitality career in Naples, Florida, with Hyatt Hotels in 2005. A cross-country move brought Castady to Luxury Resorts in West Hollywood in 2008, where he joined the opening team that transformed an old Wyndham Bel Age into the AAA Four Diamond hotel London West Hollywood.
